How To Travel From Bali To Ijen Crater

Ijen Crater is one of the most active volcanoes in East Java which is highly recommended to visit when you are on holiday in Indonesia. Ijen Crater has a natural phenomenon that we call Blue fire which only appears at night, between 19.00 - 16.30. However, Ijen Crater is only open from 2 am – 11 pm. That means we have to be here at 1am.
The natural phenomenon of blue fire can only be seen in 2 worlds, namely Ethiopia (Mount Dallol) and Indonesia (Ijen Crater). So it's very special if you can see it but you have to understand that this is just a natural phenomenon and it comes from nature too, so sometimes you can't see it clearly or it doesn't even exist at all. So we recommend visiting this volcano only in the dry season.

Ijen Crater is very easily accessible from Bali such as Pemuteran, Lovina, Munduk, Ubud, Kuta, Canggu, Uluwatu or Nusa Dua. If you are from Ubud, Bali. Ubud is one of the famous area in Bali where most tourists will stay in Ubud. You only need a maximum of 4-5 hours to reach Gilimanuk Harbor. You can check our itinerary in the next tab to read the details of the trip to Ijen Crater from Ubud, Bali.
